Throughout the games, Electronic Super Joy contains a variety of different gimmicks that alter the experience in certain levels. All known gimmicks are listed in the table below.

Sticky Wall | What is that? | The player is able to scale the surface. The player sticks to the surface and slowly drops. | |

Star | The player is launched into the air indefinitely. | ||
Arrow | The player is launched upward once. This gimmick disappears after it has been usde. | ||
Self-Destruct Platform | Upon contact, the platform will self-destruct within a time limit. | ||
Self-Defensive Platform | Upon contact, the platform will summon spikes after a time limit. | ||
Self-Offensive Platform | Upon contact, the platform will self-destruct within a time limit. After disappearing, two missiles will be fired. |
